The NPN Over 35 Club is open to any first time mom over 35. The group currently has attendees who are first time moms via the "traditional" method, reproductive technology, domestic and foreign adoption. The Club meets each month to dine out together at a different dining location in the city. We hope to plan a mix of family outings at kid friendly places and a few mom and parent nights out as well!
When: Tuesday, August 10th, 2010, 7:15pm - 10:00pm

Parking: After 6 p.m., free parking at U.S. Bank, see notes below
Who: Members and Non-Members. No children.
Cost: Each mom pays only her share of the bill/tip.
Maximum # of Attendees: 10

This is the monthlly dine out of the Over 35 Moms group. This is an exceptionally casual group and any over 35 mom is more than welcome. Ante Prima was named one of the Chicago's Best New Restaurants by Chicago Magazine and on Metromix's list of top Italian restaurants. The owner was previously general manager at Spiaggia and a partner in Carlucci and Charlie's Ale House. According to Metrmix, "this venture, a comfy, mid-priced Italian spot..makes you feel like family." The restaurant has a full wine list which is 100% Italian. Upon arrival, ask for the Neighborhood Parents Network group
Please note: After 6 p.m., there is free parking at the U.S. Bank parking lot north of the restaurant on Ashland and Summerdale. However, do NOT park in the ATM lane!

Meet the Co-Chairs!
Bernadette is an over 35 first time Mom. She lives in the 60614 zip code area with her husband, son Aaron, age 7, and his canine brothers, Sparky and Ollie.
For the last 15 years she has had her own retained executive search firm. Thanks to the new economy, she's been able to take a hiatus. Bernadette is currently working on her certification as a certified resume writer (putting all that pro bono resume consulting to a more lucrative use!)
Gina is an over 35 first time mom. She and her husband live in south Roscoe Village with their daughter, Luca, age 2. After years in "Corporate America", Gina put it all aside to raise Luca and grow her home staging and redesign business. She is pleased to be a part of the Over 35 group and connect with others enjoying the ride.
Volunteer Opportunities: We'd love to learn of inexpensive Northside restaurants with street parking (or free parking lots) where the individual tab without drinks would not exceed $35.00. Prefer Northside restaurants serving Italian, Asian or Mediterrean cuisines. If you have any ideas or suggestions for future events or locations, please let us know! We are always happy to have other first time moms over 35 join the group at the monthly dine outs. Please spread the word to non-members!
